Bulgaria is back — and she’s serving DARA realness for Eurovision 2026

It’s official: Bulgaria has re-entered the chat. After three long years on the Eurovision naughty step, the country is strutting back onto the scene — and they’re not playing it safe. Nope. They’re sending DARA, a pop powerhouse with stage presence for days and exactly zero chill.

Forget the polite comebacks. This is a statement.

The comeback final — with glitz, guest stars, and glorious chaos

Hosted by Georgi Lyubenov and Boryana Gramatikova, Bulgaria’s national final gave us eight acts, a couple of surprise guests (hello, Eldar from Azerbaijan, AIDAN from Malta, and Alis from Albania).

Here’s who fought it out for the golden ticket to Vienna:

  • DARA
  • Innerglow
  • Kerana and Kosmonavtite
  • Mihaela Marinova
  • Molets
  • Mona
  • Preyah
  • Roksana

Each act performed an original track from their own catalogue (no covers, no safety nets), and the result came down to jury + televote. Or as we call it: Eurovision foreplay.

And the winner is… the one who served pop star

She’s bold, she’s stylish, she is a DIVA— and now she’s Bulgaria’s Eurovision 2026 entrant. DARA smashed it with her performance and secured her place in Vienna.

She’s got fans, flair and fire, and after Bulgaria’s no-show streak since that 2022 flop (Intention, anyone? Thought not), she’s got everything to prove.

Can she bring Bulgaria back to the grand final? That’s the million-leva question. But one thing’s for sure: Europe won’t forget her name in a hurry.
