Supernova 2026 Is Officially Underway: Latvia Drops Semi-Final Line-Ups and Running Orders

Latvia has pressed play on its Eurovision season.

This Saturday, 31 January, Supernova 2026 kicks off live, and with it comes the familiar mix of excitement, curiosity and mild overthinking that only a national final can provide. Twelve artists will compete in the first semi-final, all hoping to grab one of five available spots in the final.

Another twelve will take the stage in Semi-Final Two on 7 February, before the ten qualifiers face off in the grand final on 14 February.

Same format. Same tension. Fresh songs.

All three shows will air at 21:10 on LTV1, REplay.lv and LSM.lv, with radio coverage on Latvijas Radio 5. And yes, fans can also attend the shows in person at Riga Film Studio, which already feels like the correct place for national final emotions.

Hosting duties are in familiar hands, with Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks returning, joined this year by model and TV presenter Māra Sleja. She has spoken about wanting to bring warmth, openness and genuine joy to the show, which is a refreshing sentence in the world of televised competitions.

Voting stays simple: half jury, half public, in both semi-finals and the final. Five qualifiers per semi. No wildcards. No shortcuts.

Now, let’s talk about who is actually performing.

Semi-Final One (31 January)

The first semi-final mixes Latvian-language tracks with English-language pop, and on paper at least, it looks nicely varied.

1. Antra Stafecka – “Divējāda”
2. Tikasha Sakama – “#010126 CODA”
3. Elpo – “Blakus”
4. Agnesse – “Oh My My”
5. Emilija – “All We Ever Had”
6. Blurie – “Lovin’ Always Gets Me Down”
7. Aivo Oskis – “Walking Out”
8. Daba – “Panic Attack”
9. Kautkaili – “Te un tagad”
10. De Mantra – “Let Them”
11. Honey Blue – “Blue Disco”
12. Ivo Grīsniņš Grīslis – “Home”

Twelve songs. Five tickets. Plenty of room for unexpected fan favourites.

Semi-Final Two (7 February)

The second semi-final continues the genre-hopping approach that Supernova tends to like.

1. Jānis Rugājs – “Smoke”
2. Paula – “Dejot vien”
3. Edvards Strazdiņš – “I Ain’t Got The Guts”
4. Kristīne Megija – “Insanity”
5. Nolark – “Different Places”
6. Miks Galvanovskis – “Cruel Angel”
7. Legzdina – “Ribbon”
8. Papīra lidmašīnas – “You’re My Saviour”
9. Atvara – “Ēnā”
10. Krisy – “Take It”
11. Vēstnieks – “Vai tas ir kāds brīnums?”
12. Robert Ox – “Ravin’ At The Taj Mahal”

Again, only five will survive the night.

Supernova has quietly built a reputation for being one of those national finals where interesting things happen without much fuss. Latvia doesn’t always top the Eurovision scoreboard, but it usually shows up with something that feels considered, personal or at least slightly different.

And that alone makes it worth watching.

Now it all comes down to live performances, staging choices, and that mysterious national-final factor where a song you barely noticed suddenly becomes a contender.

Supernova season is back.

Let the overthinking begin.
